DPE portfolio company CirQono acquires G&F Gertner & Fettback: add-on acquisition strengthens demolition, recycling, and waste management capabilities in Berlin-Brandenburg
Sep 23, 2026
Berlin/Potsdam, September 23, 2026 – CirQono is continuing its growth trajectory in the Berlin-Brandenburg region and has acquired G&F Gertner & Fettback GmbH, based in the Potsdam area. With the signing, CirQono, together with its core brand DARE, is strategically strengthening its presence in southwest Berlin and in Brandenburg. At the same time, the portfolio company of Deutsche Private Equity (DPE) is further expanding its capabilities in demolition, professional hazardous-material removal, recycling, and construction-related services.
Through the acquisition, CirQono is expanding its existing service offering with additional capacity in building deconstruction and hazardous-material disposal. G&F is highly specialized in demolition and hazardous-material services, making it an ideal complement to DARE’s existing profile within the CirQono Group. At the same time, G&F contributes a recycling yard at its Glindow site with significant development potential. Going forward, the site’s waste management and logistics capacity is expected to be used more effectively, and the location is to be developed further step by step.
For the construction sector in Berlin and Brandenburg, the acquisition primarily means greater end-to-end service depth from a single provider. CirQono intends to offer public-sector clients, construction companies, and project developers even more comprehensive solutions going forward – from demolition and site clearance to transport and construction-site logistics, all the way through to recycling and waste management. The combination of regional presence, operational breadth, and growing infrastructure is expected to help make projects more efficient, more predictable, and more resource-efficient.
"With G&F, we are adding a strong company that specifically expands our service profile in an area that is strategically important to us. For the construction sector in Berlin and Brandenburg, this creates even more capable structures – from demolition and deconstruction to construction-site logistics and through to recycling and waste management. Particularly in a challenging market environment, this integrated positioning represents real added value for our customers," says Markus Spitzer, Managing Director of CirQono.
The acquisition fits into CirQono’s growth strategy, through which the company is gradually expanding its regional presence and operational capabilities. Following the acquisition in Ludwigsfelde, south of Berlin, in 2024, the Potsdam area marks the next important step in the company’s development in Berlin-Brandenburg.
"G&F ideally complements CirQono’s regional network and strengthens the platform in a strategically important submarket. The group is expected to continue developing prudently in the coming years – initially with even deeper roots in Berlin-Brandenburg and, over time, with an additional presence in other regions of Germany as well," says Dr. Marc Bielitza, Partner at Deutsche Private Equity.
