DPE portfolio company CirQono acquires ORA Ostrauer Recycling und Abfallwirtschaft

Nov 2, 2026

Berlin/Grimma, 02 November 2026 – CirQono, whose core brand DARE is a leading provider of deconstruction, demolition, hazardous materials remediation, recycling and waste management services in the Berlin-Brandenburg region, has acquired ORA Ostrauer Recycling und Abfallwirtschaft GmbH, based in Grimma (Ostrau district), Saxony.

The transaction marks the first expansion of the Deutsche Private Equity (DPE) portfolio company’s regional network beyond Berlin-Brandenburg and establishes an additional regional presence in the Leipzig/Dresden area. At the same time, ORA brings many years of experience in demolition and construction services for rail and infrastructure projects to the Group. Coming just a few weeks after the acquisition of G&F Gertner & Fettback, the transaction represents a further step in CirQono’s buy-and-build strategy.

ORA has been active in demolition, recycling and waste management for more than 35 years and employs around 25 people. A particular focus is on demolition and construction services for rail infrastructure, including the dismantling of bridges. The company also operates its own processing and recycling facility as well as a container service.

The combination will provide customers in the construction industry, public sector and infrastructure markets with a broader range of services and greater regional coverage. Customers in Saxony and neighbouring regions will in future be able to draw on the additional capabilities and capacity of the CirQono Group – from deconstruction and hazardous materials remediation to logistics, waste management, recycling and materials processing.

“ORA combines a strong regional position with many years of experience and particular expertise in rail and infrastructure projects. Together, we will be able to support our customers across a broader range of services while at the same time operating closer to their projects. The Ostrau site provides an excellent platform for this,” said Markus Spitzer, Managing Director of CirQono.

“With ORA, we are expanding beyond Berlin-Brandenburg for the first time and laying the foundations for a second regional hub in Saxony. At the same time, ORA brings extensive experience in rail infrastructure projects – an area of business that we intend to develop further across the Group,” said Dr Marc P. Bielitza, Partner at Deutsche Private Equity (DPE).

ORA’s existing contacts and operational expertise will remain in place, while customers will gain access to the additional resources and services of the CirQono Group. This will also enable ORA to undertake larger and more complex projects in collaboration with the Group’s other companies.
