Feb 22, 2023

After almost ten years, Hanau-based entrepreneur Dr. Jürgen Heraeus will step down from the Advisory Board of Deutsche Private Equity (DPE) effective December 31, 2022. Appointed as a member in 2013, Dr. Heraeus served as Chairman of the Advisory Board since 2014. During this time, Heraeus played a key role in shaping the Munich-based financial investor and helped it become one of the three largest private equity firms in the DACH region with his industrial expertise, strategic vision and ability to inspire people.

The new Chairman of the Advisory Board is Peter Leibinger, who has been a member of the Board since 2018. A mechanical engineer by training, Leibinger is Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at Trumpf, a leading global manufacturer of machine tools and industrial lasers. With Leibinger as Chairman of the Advisory Board, DPE aims to consolidate its market leadership in the mid-market segment through continued strong growth. The Advisory Board is a valuable source of advice for DPE. The exchange with its members is invaluable for the financial investor due to their entrepreneurial thinking and actions.
