TALOS joins AWK Group

AWK strengthens its financial services practice through the acquisition of specialist TALOS Management Consultants

Zurich, September 28, 2020TALOS Management Consultants, with offices in Zurich and Luxembourg, joins AWK Group. TALOS’ founders and their team will strengthen AWK’s consulting practice for the financial services sector, increasing its size to a total of 60 employees. AWK’s customers from the financial sector will benefit from an extended service range, especially in the fields of regulatory and compliance, supply management and cost reduction services.

Since 2008, TALOS’ shareholders have developed the company into a successful consulting boutique with a focus on the European financial services industry. By joining forces with AWK, TALOS strives to serve its customers even better through a complementary service offering. With a partly overlapping, partly complementary client portfolio, the newly combined financial services team serves the «who is who» of the Swiss financial sector. Oliver Vaterlaus, CEO of AWK Group: “We are very pleased that the TALOS team decided to join AWK Group, allowing us to serve our customers even better in the future. We are already in discussions with further potential partner firms in other sectors and are always open for approaches from teams and companies who feel they would strategically benefit from joining forces with a partner like AWK Group.”

In December 2017, DPE, AWK’s CEO Oliver Vaterlaus and partners acquired AWK group. The joint vision: significantly expand AWK’s consulting services through organic growth, acquisitions and partnerships. DPE Partner Nils Bennemann: “TALOS is the first of several planned transactions to selectively strengthen AWK in certain strategic sectors. DPE has clearly stated that it is committed to continue to invest despite the current Covid-19 crisis. We are therefore particularly pleased that, with our support, AWK was able to successfully complete this transaction.”
