Twice Successful: DPE wins two Golden Private Equity Exchange Awards
Awarded as best growth financier in Europe and as best buy-out fund in the German-speaking world – investment philosophy of the Munich investment house convinced international jury
DPE Deutsche Private Equity (DPE) was twice successful at the prestigious Private Equity Exchange & Awards: the international jury of experts awarded DPE “Best European Growth Private Equity Fund” as well as “Best German, Austrian & Swiss LBO Fund”. Volker Hichert, partner and founder of DPE, accepted both awards in Paris on November 21, 2018.
“It is a special distinction for us to have won in both relevant categories. This emphasizes that such a high-caliber jury of Limited Partners – who are our clients – values our investment philosophy. On behalf of the entire DPE team, I would like to sincerely thank our current and future investors for this award and the confidence it expresses. Without them all, this success would not be possible”, said Volker Hichert following the award ceremony.
In 2018, DPE was again able to convince with a serie of promisisng investments. These include the shareholding in the AWK Group, a Swiss information technology consulting firm, the acquisition of Air Alliance, offering services in the aerospace sector with a focus on ambulance flights, and the acquisition of VTU Engineering, a leading engineering service provider in German-speaking countries.
After successful development, DPE also sold a few portfolio companies so that they could continue to grow with new partners. These include automotive supplier J.H. Ziegler GmbH, the personnel service provider expertum and Elatec, a company specializing in Radio Frequency Identification (RFID).
The Private Equity Exchange & Awards are among the most important awards in the industry. A jury of 80 international investment experts selects the respective winners in 25 categories and awards special prizes.
The Private Equity Exchange & Awards are organized by the Leaders League, a media and rating agency based in Paris. The award recognizes Limited Partners, General Partners and Management Teams. The winners are determined on the basis of the investment success, the leadership qualities and the applied growth strategies.
