- Leading electroplating specialist in the automotive industry
- Long-standing supplier relationships with leading European automotive suppliers
- Capacity expansion and internationalisation to drive growth
Munich/Katzenelnbogen/Liberec (CZ), 30 November 2016. Funds advised by DPE Deutsche Private Equity GmbH (DPE) have acquired Fischer Surface Technologies (www.fischer-galvanik.de) with its facilities in Katzenelnbogen and Seelbach, both Germany, and three sites in Liberec, Czech Republic. The previously family-owned enterprise ranks among the leading manufacturers of chrome-plated plastic components for the automotive industry. Every third car produced in Europe is equipped with high quality interior or exterior parts from Fischer Surface Technologies – such as dashboard, trims and brand emblem. Fischer Surface Technologies also supplies the sanitary and household industry. With more than 600 employees, the plastic injection moulding and electroplating specialist generates revenues of € 70 million.
“Fischer is exceptionally well-positioned in its core market, covering the value chain from product design to the production and assembly of finished components. We see considerable growth potential in capacity expansion and internationalisation”, said Dr Frank Müller, partner at DPE. He further explained that Fischer Surface Technologies built long standing supplier relationships with Europe’s most important automotive suppliers on the back of its high level of technical expertise and operational reliability. Peter Endlich, instrumental to the success of Fischer Surface Technologies’ Czech operations, will become new group CEO. “We are delighted to have won DPE as a partner who brings valuable automotive industry experience and, above all, will support growth initiatives with strategical insight,” emphasised Peter Endlich.
